Who takes this route
People returning from Hungary to Germany or moving there for the first time, and staff whose assignment in Budapest is ending. The Hungarian home often has a courtyard or a panel-block measurement. The German home has a landlord’s confirmation, without which the Bürgeramt does not continue.
Keys and the time window
We plan from the last day in the Hungarian home to the first day in the German one. If there is a gap, we store. Driving times match the other direction. The city at the end changes the zone: in Hamburg, Berlin or Munich, permission to stop needs lead time.
Tell us which date is fixed. Usually it is the handover in Hungary or the first day of work in Germany. We place the other date beside it instead of promising both.
Registration in Germany
EU citizens register their address. They do not apply for a visa to do it. For many newcomers the tax identification number arrives by post from the Federal Central Tax Office. Health insurance has to be settled from day one, through the employer or directly. School and daycare belong on the list as soon as a child is moving, because places are not decided on loading day.
On the Hungarian side, cancel what is tied to the address and return the home as the contract requires. You close the address card and Hungarian registration according to the authority’s current guidance, not according to a blog sentence. We put these points on your checklist once the direction is fixed.
What comes out of the home
Household goods, yes. Open food, plants under restrictions, hazardous goods and animals in the furniture truck, no. If your car is registered in Hungary and you become resident in Germany, re-registration is its own procedure. We move the household so the car is not the condition of the fixed price.
Price and the first weeks
The fixed price follows a survey of both relevant paths: stairs in Hungary, the zone in Germany. Legal liability on international transport stays weight-based. We talk about transport insurance before loading.
Three things count in the first German week: being able to sleep, being registered, being reachable. Beds assembled on arrival day, an appointment at the Bürgeramt, mail forwarding from Hungary if needed. The rest comes out of labelled cartons in peace.
