Budapest is the most common job, not the only one. We plan moves across Hungary. Inside the city, courtyard, floor and district decide the day. Across the country, access decides it, and whether the truck can stand at the door.
Cities we plan for as a matter of course
Budapest
Old buildings and panel blocks, courtyards, loading permits. The building logic in the guide to Hungary applies to city moves as well.
Balaton
Second homes, moves out of the city, summer traffic. We ask about the gate, the gravel and the last straight stretch for the truck.
Győr
Close to Austria, many job-related changes. A short route, often a clear working day.
Debrecen, Szeged, Pécs
East, south, south-west. A longer drive inside the country, and often better access than inner Budapest. We plan the window accordingly.
What sets the price here
Volume, floor, lift, packing, assembly, and whether we need a loading permit. We are not crossing a border, so liability follows domestic freight law. There too, legal liability is often below the household’s current value. Transport insurance belongs in the offer, not in a footnote.
